UET is responsible for conducting ECAT test every year. Annually thousands of candidates take this test to get admission in well-known engineering universities. ECAT test normally held in August while UET its schedule in July just after the inter exams. Mainly ECAT test held on Sunday and its result also announced on Sunday after 6 days. After ECAT test takers can also check the answer key as UET published it on evening of test day. So far, UET has not announced any schedule for ECAT test 2024. As soon as the ECAT date sheet 2024 will be issued it will be uploaded at this page. Hopefully at the end of June or start of July date sheet will be issued.

Engineering College Admission Test (ECAT) is organized to provide admission to students intending to pursue higher studies in the field of engineering and University of Engineering and Technology has the responsibility to organize the ECAT test for all the public sector institutions of Punjab province. After successfully completing the intermediate exams under FSc Pre-engineering or equivalent education aspirants can apply for higher studies on passing the ECAT test. Ever year UET Lahore organizes the exams and based on four (04) subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Maths. The pattern of test is based on the criteria set by the respective Universities & Colleges.
The sections of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English are included in the standardized ECAT format while English contents can by changed according to the rules of respective university. For example the ECAT format for UET Lahore is different than that of NUST ECAT format.
