Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA) is located at Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is affiliated with World Maritime Univerisity and NED University Of Engineering and Technology & is also recognized by Higher education COmmission, Pakistan. It is a Governmental institution & an attached department of Ports & Shipping Wing trains Merchant Navy Officers. Pakistan Marine academy covers an area of around 136 acres on the water front in Karachi Harbor, Hawksbay Road.
This includes Seamen Training Wing (STW), Academic Block (Quaid Block) Residence for Cadets, Workshop, Engine Plant Simulator, Global Maritime Distress safety system (GMDSS) Simulator, Medical Center, Mosque, Bank and a Residential Area, School and college for the officers in charge and the staff of the Academy. All facilities are made available which are required by a maritime training institution to meet the standards set by international Martime Organization under STCW convention and world Maritime University Malmo Swede. The Academy is menitored for the training standards of the seafarers by International Maritime Organization.
